Volunteer of the Year

2022 Volunteer of the Year

Mrs. Sandra Czentye is the 2022 Volunteer of the Year.

This year’s Woman’s Club of Rock Hill’s Volunteer of the Year is a club woman who embodies the definition of a clubwoman.

Even though she works full time, she has been very active, participating in many club activities and fundraisers since she joined the club in 2010. When asked to bake or cook for the Victorian Teas, she always agrees to cover all three days and to serve in other ways on the days she is not working at her “real” job.

She and her husband sang as members of the Victorian Tea Carolers for many years.

She volunteered her sons to serve as bartenders for several of our annual Christmas parties.

She cheerfully agrees to take responsibility for making one type of the Super Bowl Super Dips. She never says “NO”!

She has held the Corresponding Secretary position since 2017. Creating the monthly newsletter, is a huge time commitment and a labor of love.

Her creative talents resulted in our club winning first place in the Newsletter Contest for our club category at the 2019 GFWC-SC Annual Convention.

She has also been Chair of the Bylaws Committee since March 2021. By now, you have probably guessed that our 2023 Volunteer of the Year is Sandra Czentye!

Sandra has been married to her husband Tibi for 41 years; has 2 grown children, Alex and, Chris, and 6 beautiful grandchildren: Joanna, Jillian, Xander, and Anderson (they belong to Alex and Julia), Sadie and Jackson (they belong to Chris and Ashley). Alex, his wife Julia and their 4 children live in Jacksonville, FL; Chris, his wife Ashley and their 2 children live in Rock Hill. Sandra was born in Romania and she lived there for 28 years. Her husband, Tibi, escaped from socialist Romania in 1989 and they came to US, under political asylum, in 1991 to eagerly start their new life here.

As her husband says they arrived with 2 kids, 2 pieces of luggage and God. They originally settled in California where they lived for 18 years and moved to Gods Country – South Carolina - in 2009.

They lived in Rock Hill until 2016, when they bought their dream house on Lake Wateree and moved out there. Once they accomplished the American dream, they started to give back to society by helping and volunteering in many ways.

They own their own company in Rock Hill, All Pro Solutions, where they manufacture data archiving equipment and provide numerous digital services; Sandra works there alongside her husband and son Alex.

When she’s not working, either at her job or in the Woman’s Club, she enjoys cooking, gardening, and the outdoors. However, she is happiest when she is with her husband, her family, and friends and building beautiful memories with her beloved grandchildren, all of whom she loves dearly.

The friends she made at Woman’s Club over the years are very special to her and she holds them close to her heart. Sandra said she’s honored to continue to serve in her positions with the Woman’s Club and she’s looking forward to a new year of opportunities to help our community.
